Rust

We found rust on the cab corners on my 06 Lariat Screw. AAAHHHH. Has anyone found where we can buy OE parts to take to the body shop so we don't have to pay for them there. It does need to get fixed very soon. Christmas gifts may have to go back lol.

Thanks

My 06 has it there too. According to the guy that does all my body work its common for them to develop rust on the lower rear quarter behind the back door on the lower part of the body. There is a drain hole there and it gets clogged up causing the water and dirt and other debris to be trapped thus causing the rust.

Other than through Ford, try tascaparts or a salvage yard. What state are you in? I assume you meant OEM, as in genuine Ford parts. But if you did mean OE, Rockauto has just about everything. However, I have no idea how to acquire JUST a cab corner if I'm visualizing this properly. I thought they just cut out the rot and inserted fresh sheet metal that is generic and they bend and form to fit it?

There's a few I kept on file. -

http://raybuck.com/ - This is who I use mostly. Great 16 gauge steel, welds in nice and easy.

Been refereed to a few more that I haven't tried, -
