Need help with pre runner paint scheme

So decided to take off the 24's and start going the pre-runner route with my truck. I put on some 18x10 raceline wheels wrapped in 305/60 Terra Grapplers

So, now its time for paint. With the fiberglass, I have been thinking over time, cracks would start to show and Rhino lining or line xing it would make em last longer but maybe I'm just being paranoid I dunno. So do I paint em and see if it does start cracking? Do I line x it in the same blue or do it black line x and do a wrap in the doors? What do yall think?

The paint will spiderweb over time, how long usually depends on the quality of the paintjob though. But for the cost of line-x'ing them you could probably paint them a few times.

I think before you even hit paint, get some suspension under there so it looks right. But if your gonna do paint first, I'd say spray it yourself in the blue, and then just respray it when it needs to be done. I wouldn't line-x it

Also what you'd do with the gas door on the bedsides? I don't see it in any of the pics..

And I'd suggest running some braces from the frame to the corners of the wheel wells on the bedsides to help cut down on flex.

Suspension is coming soon for sure. I made a round c clip that the filler neck snaps into inside the bed away from the fiberglass and I used the stock fuel door setup. When ever I go to fill up, I pull it down, open the door, stick the nozzle in, close the door , push it in till it snaps into place. I ordered the bedsides with the fuel door but they messed up the order and so it didn't seem to big of a deal the way I mounted in there. You cant see it but I used the stock fender braces on the corners and its held up to 80 mph runs down the highway without flappin.

So pizzaman, spraying over the gel coat without prepping is what your suggesting or try and follow a good prep, primer, paint, and clear coat?

I'd say do the prep and sand off the gel coat and any imperfections. Unless your lazy like me in which case just take some spray paint and go at it. But mine started to spiderweb in the bottom corner where it meets the door after like half a year, but not too noticeable unless your looking for it.

There is a "flex agent" used in paint for when it is applied to bumpers, etc......check with any local auto paint supplier, they will have it, able to mix the paint up for you and you should be fine.

Most flex agents I've seen are for painting the part off the vehicle and leaving the part flexible enough to get it back on within a certain time period before it becomes like normal paint again.
