Ok, So I was parked outside a restaurant in San Francisco tonight and someone swiped my 2008 Limited supercrew and broke the mirror on my Driver side door. So now I need to replace it. Instead of giving the dealership 800 dollars to replace it I am looking for other options. I do like the heavy duty mirrors. Does anyone have any pictures and suggestions of different types of mirrors that would be good and where I should buy them. Currently I have power adjustable, heated, and turn signal indicators on the stock mirrors with a Paint to Match mirror cap. Please, I hope someone can chime in on this as I need to make a move soon. This is a style and safety thing, and I want to make sure my fiance is safe driving this thing. Please help!

 

Look into the 2012 power fold mirror mod. Other than that, Check the local wrecking yards, call around and find a used mirror. It's an easy DIY install. No need to pay the dealer to install it. You can likely get a used mirror in the $200 range. Also, check your local Craigslist. I'd be more tempted to go the wrecker route over craigs though. If it doesn't operate properly, almost all of them offer a money back guarantee against defective parts.
