door lock cylinder replacement

I purchased a new set of lock cylinders and ignition switch because I recently purchased a 97 f-150 extended cab and the drivers door (only door that the key works in) and the ignition key are different and I would like them all to be the same. but my question is, is there an easy way to get the door handle off. I managed to get the nuts off the handle on the passenger side but I cant seem to get the handle off the truck. I disconnected the latch but that did not help at all, any suggestions?? do I need to take the interior handle off as well and also is there an easier way to get to the back nut on the handle, I had a heck of a time getting it off and cant seem to get it back on?

With the handle rod, and lock cylinder rod both disconnected it should be a straight forward removal. It will make your life easier if you remove the bottom section of the window track. Its one bolt at the bottom, and pull it straight down out of the upper channel.

Before you go thru this head ache. Spray some cleaning oil in the lock that doesn't work. Strattec packs them full of grease that tends to make them stick after awhile.

the problem is that the doors and the ignition are on 2 different keys and half of the ones in the doors do not work. I would like them all on the same key
