I have been noticing intermittemt issues with my rear passenger door on a 2008 F150 lariat. Sometimes it will lock, sometimes it wont. It makes me worry a bit when I have valuables in the truck and I park in the city. I do have the service records and indicates the issue has been there since 15k miles. I bought this used. has anyone experienced this? know how to fix it? if the original owner took it in for the issue and they didnt fix it, will ford try to fix it for me for free?

 

You might have a better shot if you take it to the dealer who tried fixing it once and failed. I doubt fomoco will help you on this one.

 

you need a lock actuator, its a 80-100$ part plus install, unless you want to tackle the install yourself
