Door Protection

I was wondering if anyone out there has any ideas as to what to use to protect other vehicles from damage by the door on my 2012 F150. My 2001 F150 had a "detente" stop position (when opening the door) that was situated well for my getting into the vehicle or for reaching in for things. But the new truck hits that position when the door is barely open, and beyond that position the door swings all the way open...bad design, IMHO. I remember seeing those clear tear drop shaped rubber things for the edge of the door, but I'm unable to find them.

I try to park away from other vehicles, but that's not always practical.

Thanks in advance. - Roy

I haven't damaged any other vehicles with my door in the 2+ years I've had it. A little care will go a long way. Use your step bars to get in and out. And if all else fails........ use your fingers.

Here's a couple:

Heck, I might order some from that first link for my wife's car.
She's already womped the door molding on my truck a few times.
I noticed it doesn't scratch, but it sure does dent.

I do all of that, but to no avail if for instance I'm putting groceries away and a gust of wind catches the door and . . .

I might try the Trim Gard product (the 1st one), as it should offer a bit of protection to the other vehicle.

I've noticed this on my truck as well Makes me wonder if you could modify the current mechanism, I'll have to take a look.
