Expy running boards on F150??
Has anyone tried fitting a set of Expedition running boards to an F150
They are original Ford parts and I like the looks, especially the built in courtesy lights but have some reservations.
I don't think that they will they bolt right on and honestly don't know how they're attached but I would probably be turned off to the whole idea if a lot of fabrication is involved.
Also noticed from some rough measurements that they would continue past the cab and run under the area of the bed between the cab and the forward side of the rear tire opening Just under the sidestep that's molded into the panels. I don't think this would look bad but I do wonder if it's possible to support it back there. I took a quick look underneath the bed and It didn'nt seem to be rubbermounted but the cab is. Possible problems with flexing/road vibrations becuase of the combination rubber/ solid mounts?
What do you all think? Let me know.
BTW, I'm glad I read the threads on door cracks. Gunna check mine tomorrow. Thanx!
