Got a question about a front license plate bracket

My 2000 F150 Flareside seems to have never had a front license plate bracket on it, and I've been looking around for the best price on one. Where is the best place to get one from? is a dealer an option or should I just stick to ebay? Also how would it hook into my bumper? I know most people just drill some holes in it but I'm not about to do that. It looks like there's 2 small slits in the center that the plate could go into, but I'm not sure. I know its probably something simple but I just haven't thought about it yet lol

thanks!

I just had to replace the one on my 03 and I think it was like $20 at the dealer. Just make sure to get the plastic push pin thingies to hold it on.

On a truck of that age, there should be bazillions in the local auto wreckers. (assuming that front plates are mandatory in your neck of the woods). Even if they aren't, there should be several in every wrecking yard with "gone fishin'", or "Retired" front plates on em. Should be able to grab a used one for dirt cheap. If you have a self serve yard in the area, you can even make sure you have all the hardware.....

Dealer is easy, fast, and costly.

Used is tedious, but cheap.

What do ya got more of? Time, or money?

Well there is a self pull salvage yard here called LKQ and I tried to find a wrecked one with a plate. sadly I couldn't find a single one that was made for the truck. Some had plates but they were drilled to the bumpers.
