Cab Corner Rust Repair

I have some Very bad rust holes on my 98 F150 in the cab corners....

I was thinking of getting these rust repair panels. Anybody have experience with them?

Do I get them welded in? (not a welder) Or can I rivet them in?

Thanks guys

I don't have any experience with those, but I think the old ones have to be cut out and the new ones welded in.

They do have to be welded, rivets wont work, or last, and would be a huge waste of time. That said, I never expect aftermarket chunks like this to fit well. Quite the opposite actually. If someone brought me aftermarket weld in panels, I double my labor time, to adjust for fitment issues. Nothing beats FoMoCo body panels.

Cut the old one off, trim the two pieces to fit, weld it, a little bondo work, prime, sand seal and paint. Oh ya, and don't forget to treat the back side of the repair.
