1997-2003. Has anyone tried to put a regular cab or supercab styleside/fleetside bed on a supercrew? I don't really care for the way the bed narrows at the back on the supercrew. The tailgate is narrower and there is less room in the bed. I know I would need the bumper from the regular cab styleside and I think the bed may be longer either to the front of the wheel opening or to the rear. The wheelbase is the same on a supercab and a supercrew (138.5), but the bed is definitely longer on the supercab and would need to be shorten on the front side next to the cab. The bed on the regular cab is 6 1/2 ft and the bed on the supercrew is 5 1/2, so maybe the regular cab wouldn't need to be shortened as much as the supercab. Looks like I'm gonna need to do some measuring on a regular cab and a supercab, then compare them to my supercrew. If anyone has done this conversion, I sure would like to see some pics.

 

You would have to lengthen the frame before the wheels for sure. Or cut the other bed before the wheels, which would be dumb. I wouldnt even bother with this unless you really need the bigger bed. But aslong as you're mesuring wheelbases, doesnt mean the Cab/Bed combos will work with it
