Anyone?

Has anyone replaced an antenna cable in a 1997 F150? If so what's involved to put the new one in? Thanks MT

Its been years since, but remove radio, disconnect antenna plug from it, and this is the most important step, ........ Securely tie and tape a wire to the antenna plug, then push out the rubber grommet through fire wall, gently pry off plastic cover off antenna base on fender with glasses repairing size flat screwdriver, remove antenna mast, undo screws. Its much easier to pull through with a second person, but don't yank too hard and pull the wire off that you taped on. Go slow, and reverse to reinstall. With the wire taped to it, the process is easy. Without it....... Yikes.
