Tailgate plastic trim

Has anyone replaced the plastic trim on the tailgate of 00 F150? If so, is it easy? If the answer is yes, then I don't need to get it covered with diamond plate or worry about getting it damaged. Thanks in advance.

If you're talking about the trim on the top edge, it's a breeze. 2 minute job.
