Uggglyyyyy Truck

Yall know when you see a truck and think that there are too many factory color, chome and black trimmings? I've got that truck...

Forest green, tan trim, chrome wheels, bumpers and running boards. Everything else on her is black...

My goal is to effectively do away with the chrome and tan trimming on the exterior of my truck. I have pondered about Rhino lining or Line-X do it yourself kits you see at Advanced Auto Parts etc. Im sure it will work on the tan trim, but not so sure of the chrome bumpers/running boards...plan on getting new tires and black wheels when I find an extra nickel laying around...

Any help would be great if any of you have tried this yourself. If you have, please provide step by step...I'm a guy, I usually skips steps to complete the job faster... so quick and simple.

Thanks

So not going to recommended it but its all possible. To do the crome you should scuff it up with some 320 sand paper, spray it with some etch primer then. For the body do the same scuffing but you dont really need any primer (since you already said you skip steps). If you have ever used a spray gun or have a friend dont go for roll on linter with something like this. Try a spray in liner, i recommend Upol Raptor any local body shop paint distrubtor can get it and tell you how to spray it. If you mess this up no one is going to fix it for cheap

Yea i suggest the rustuleam thread on here. It should really make your truck look sharp. Im strongly considering doing it myself so i can stay away from chrome.
