mirror trouble!!

Ok so I came out of work one day to find my driver side mirror laying on the ground next to my truck. The actual mirror assembly was still on my truck thank god. But it has a small crack and the mirror was smashed. When i put it on how ever when i got to use the power mirror it moves up and down just not left to right. Is my issue the motor to what??

Odds are you're replacing the assembly. Call a auto wrecker near you, and see if it's worth your time to try and diagnose the issue. If it worked before the impact, the odds of it being in the switch or wiring is pretty slim.

Some **** just cost you a few bucks. If you are like me, you'll always look at the crack anyways.

Any pics of the housing?

I'd buy a new assembly. Call the wreckers in your area. I could never live with looking at that on my ride, and every time i got in it, I would look right at it. It's easy to change yourself, just grab a used mirror. maybe even ebay....?
