So I went to the car wash today, and the plastic on the back of my mirror fell off. I didnt realize it until I ran it over Any ideas where to find just replacement plastic backing? The mirror and everything is ok, just the plastic backing is gone. Any ideas or anyone selling one let me know please. Thanks!

 

Try a salvage yard. Some places let you pull parts you need. Just go pop the backing off one and you should be good to go. I think you can buy them new for like $40. I know some guys have been using TASCA on here with some good success.

 

I called the local salvage yards, but nothing with that new of a truck. Ive looked for just the backing but cant seem to find it anywhere. Thank you for the info!

 

Sorry i thought you had an older year model. According to my system it doesnt show to offer any kind of seperate backing trim for the mirror. Try the Tasca website. Also try car-part.com. You can search by region and you may be able to find a slightly damaged mirror for cheap that you can rob the piece you need off of it.
