I am adding Fords factory running boards to my F150. They are off a 2010. I was wondering how to get the plastic steps (what you step on) off of the chome rail. I need to make some adjustments to the mounting bracket location before I mount them to my truck.

I tried prying on them but they are held on by clips. It looks like they slide off but not sure. Thanks for your help.

 

I'd like to know this as well, I want to get mine powder coated black.
