How to apply 4x4 decal

One of the 4x4 decals on my Ford is messed up. I have another one, what is the best way to apply it to not have any air bubbles?

Check that out... use a ruler to make sure it is straight. Measure on the other side of the bed to make sure you get it in the exact spot. I have done some vinyl application in my lifetime, but cannot describe it. Search for "vinyl sign application" on youtube and there are some good videos.

Do you have a link to steps for the hinge method?

Check out this video. He uses the hinge method with the hinge at the top, basically you are using the tape attached at the top, and starting to peel the backing off (if your sticker has backing), and using a squegee to attach it as he shows. I can't listen to the audio since I am at work, but I am assuming he is just describing what he is doing.

Sounds good, if you get an air bubble, use a straight pin to pop it, then flatten it.

The method I use at the bus dealer to letter the buses is quite simple. Obviously clean and prep the area real well to prepare it for the vinyl. Remove the flim on the back side of the vinyl carefully so that you don't rip apart the letters or whatever you're working with. Spray the area you're going to apply the lettering to with a watered down windex and put the vinyl lettering right on the wet area. This will allow you to move it around just right to where you want it. After that is complete just take a plastic putty knife and smooth it out. The windex will run right out. Let it sit for about a half hour then pull off the top sheet. Works every time. I've lettered hundreds of buses that way. My method obviously is not the only one but I've found it to be very effective. Avoid doing it outdoors! I tried that once.. didn't go so well!
