Another project by RIV: gap quards

My truck has a 3" body lift. I wish it didn't but hey, I make the best of it. However, that gap in the rear wheel wells is pretty annoying; you can look straight through under the bed to the other side. So I made some simple gap guards.

Here is the gap, demonstrated by my son.


I just took some carbon steel sheet metal, made some minor cuts, bends, and drilling...


and some primer...

and some paint.




Painting is pretty easy once you get the knack for it. I personally feel that having the right products is what makes or breaks the process. Thus, I recommend these 4 products to anyone. As for the product on the far left, I would use it sparingly because it can affect the quality of the other three. Paint is drying. I'll post the finished product this evening or tomorrow.

Yeah, im workn n it one more coat uf paint togo. i may hve used to much of one of the produts tho.
