so I have an 08 f150 xl. This is going to be my 3rd bumper... first one was crushed when I was in Cali, this girl rear ended me. Second was during mardi gras in New orleans, I backed into a pole. Its bent pretty bad and creased to where I cant hammer it out... I want something stronger so that I don't have to buy bumper number 4, however I don't have the cash to shell out 300-500 for a ranch hand type.

So heres my question. I know someone looking to get rid of a stock bumper off of 94 or so f150? not sure what year, but its the model before the 98. It looks and feels alot heavier and stronger. has anyone ever put one of these on a newer model? I have the tools and scraps to pretty much bolt it up to anything, and I also would plan to paint it with some bedliner or just flat black. my only real dilema right now is how the newer bumper wraps around the sides of the truck to an extent, and this one doesn't.

any input?
