paint to match front valence

Hey I did a search for this, but didn't find any pictures for my style truck. I have a 2002 xlt sport, black. I think the painted valence on the 2004-2008 trucks look really sharp and I'm getting a little tired of looking at that dark shadow gray, I think painting it gloss black would add some flash. Anyone have pictures of a truck you did this on? How much work is it to remove the valence?

Check out FordGuy24. He doesn't have the Sport trim with the painted bumper but he does have a PTM lower valence. Looks really nice. You should contact him and see what he has to say.

I found a picture of his truck, really nice. I wouldn't mind eventually having that done. I bought and installed a chrome horizontal bar grille overlay with the oval opening a while back, but decided I didn't like it and removed it. I was thinking of painting it gloss black and installing it again, I think that would look nice.

Thanks russ...it's not that difficult to do yourself, just takes some time. I found it easier to leave the valance on the truck and mask off the front end. I've taken the valance off before and its just a hassle

That does look really nice..I ordered that same billet grille too, I'm getting the one that goes over the honeycomb grille because it's a lot easier to install.
