led's in headliner?

Has anyone ever put led's in their headliner? I'm finally getting ready to work on my interior more and have decided to do the headliner (in black) so that I can get all the plastic pieces re-installed. I will also be putting F150 in a foam pad to give it a 3d appearance.

Just wondering if it has been done and if so anyone got pics? Is it legal to do if the lights (red or blue, haven't decided which yet. I want red, but my amp already glows blue, so...) can be seen from the outside? I do plan on either having them on a switch or controlling them from my computer.

Where are you thinking in the headliner? it might make it hard to drive if they are mounted in bad locations. im going to get a blue led for my dome light and white leds for the map lights.

I want to put them around the f150 just to make it stand out a little more, but i would have them switched so I can decided when I want them on/off.

If I was getting one of those, I'd have to see it in public as it looks ugly on the screen.
