Drivers Side window wont roll up

I have a '97 F150 with manual crank windows, the drivers side window will only roll up and down half way. To put them up or down I have to push them up or down. any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks

I have a 98 with a similar issue. When rolling the window down, about a quarter of the way down after just a few turns on the handle, the window will stop and a clicking noise can be heard if I keep cranking. If I push down on it while cranking, it will make it past this bad spot and continue down on its own. Coming up is kind of OK. It comes up on its own but I can feel and hear it work past the rough patch. I am guessing a gear or two is worn down or missing some teeth.
How did you make out with the replacement part?
Does anyone else have any advice for us poor folks with manual crabnk windows? Besides the obvious upgrade to power windows.
Thanks,
Ken

Turn on the AC and never put the window down!

No clue what the problem is, but it sounds like a gear is worn. I'm thinking it could be the window regulator, but I have no clue when it comes to window repairs.
