Running board bubbles

I'm starting to get some bubbles in the chrome on my running boards. The truck is one year old. What is the warranty?

I'm not sure what the warranty is on the bars (if there's any at all) but I bought my truck new in October of '08 with the black step bars on it. The black paint is peeling like crazy all over the boards and frankly it look terrible. Guess I'm in the same boat as you.

Typically the warranty is one year on accessories like running boards.

Just an update.......

I went to the dealer today and had the service manager take a look at my running boards. He said that he would get me a new set on the way Monday morning and that there would be no problem with warranty taking care of them. Sounds like a plan to me!

My truck has a 3 year 36,000 bumper to bumper warranty. That includes all original equipment such as my steps...

I've got that plus the extended warranty but the exception is "normal wear and tear". That's what I was concerned with. We all know that the paint/chrome on the running boards is not going to bubble or flake off but since that particular component of the truck is subjected to constant foot traffic I thought they might say something about "normal wear and tear".

It looks like it's all going to work out for me and hopefully the OP as well.
