Rear Bumper w/o tow pkg Difference?
Rear Bumper w/o tow pkg Difference?
My 2007 SuperCrew XLT does not have a factory tow pkg.
I am looking to replace the rear bumper because I put a crease in it. When I searched new ones, they list a different part number with and without factory tow.
Does anyone know the actual difference?
I have found a couple of used ones that came off trucks with a tow pkg. They are 30 to 50 miles away. I would like to know if they will work before I spend the gas.
Thanks for any help.

I have an '07 4WD/4.6L with the tow package, and the only difference in the rear bumpers is that the tow package bumper has mounting sockets for the package. It will fit your truck, and if you ever wanted to update for towing you will be ready...

I bought a bumper without the tow package and replaced the tow package parts from my original bumper with the non tow parts from the other bumper. Same hole patterns, bolted right up. Worked fine.
If the tow package bumper you're thinking of getting comes with the bumper to frame tow package brackets and all the nuts and bolts it should work.

I have already installed a receiver hitch on my F150. The U-Haul hitch simply bolts to the frame. No attachment to the bumper is necessary. This eliminates the need to change the bumper brackets.
