Smaller radio antenna

Do they make a shorter radio antenna similar to the stock one for the F-150? Mine hits the garage door everytime I park it inside so I wanted to get the same one but slightly shorter. I think it's getting bent a little bit from all the in and out parking.

A shorter antenna will not work QUITE as well as the correct one. Radio waves are a physical phenomenon, and they have a size. The antenna is sized to match for peak reception, so if you listen to weak stations now, you might NOT with a different mast.

BTW
"Billet" has nothing to do with Aluminum. It means the metal was mashed (almost like bread dough) between casting & machining to remove microscopic pores. The result is that any surface cut into it is much smoother, and can be polished better.

Yeah, I know i'm going to sacrafice some reception...I already live in the mountainous area where it's hard to get anything, but with Sirius and iPod installed and half of LA stations changing to Spanish (I don't listen to Spanish radio), I'm okay without good FM reception.

My main concern is the antenna bending to get in the garage....i'll check out the ones the ebay.

Thanks.
