Angry Finally did it......

....broke my passenger side mirror when backing up into my garage. Goes to show what just a sec of not paying attention can do.

My mirror is cracked but still in the fixture, anybody have any ideas on how I can fix it? Or am I just going to have to go to the dealer?

Thanks for any input

You'll have replace the entire assembly. They run about $250-$300 from a dealer.

Thanks for the replies, you guys, but I already found a glass mirror replacement...which is what I needed(not the whole assembly, thank God).

Found a direct (glass only) replacement for only $25 w/shipping included.......I have the link for anyone interested, or in the same situation.....http://www.wheelskin.com/replacement-mirror-glass.html

Glad to hear you don't have to replace the whole assembly. I have done the same in my garage, but my mirror never broke... but I didn't hit it too hard, and it was on the outer 1/4 of the mirror - don't know if that made a difference.

Awesome find. I was going to say you could have found that acrylic mirror stuff that sticks on as a temp fix until you found something like this.
