Sluggish Power Window

My driver's side power window has become really sluggish lately, but mostly in the DOWN direction for some reason. Going up, it's a bit slower than the passenger side, but nowhere near as slow as when its going down. Any suggestions on what to check? Anything I can lube to make it go faster?

probably just the motors going bad. Looks like you have a 2000 so that's about 8-9yrs of up and down so I would imagine it's time for a replacement in each window.

Damn... I hope not. Anything I can lube in there? I can see how it could be the motor, but it is much slower going down than up... I mean a LOT slower.

sorry not too sure on what can be done to the internals. I'll have to pass that question onto somebody else.

Well, rip your door panel off(not literally) take a look inside. You could try lubing the regulator and the tract and see if that makes a difference. It could be the switch going out, maybe not giving the motor enough juice. You can rule the switch out by disconnecting it, then by using a battery charger or a jumpbox hook a nail(something conductive) to each clamp and touch the terminals on the wire that go the motor. Or it could be just the motor.
