Door Bumpers
Hey everyone,
I did some searching around on here about our doors and how they like to rattle alot, especially over large bumps. I am having this issue on my 06 Screw and want to get it fixed as it is extremely annoying.
Looking through the search results it looks like our doors do not have striker adjustment so that is out of the question. But our oors use a push pull type deal where the latch pulls on the door to hold it in and the bumpers push on the door to hold it in place.
I plan on replacing the bumper to try that first, but how many should there be? Looking at my front doors there is only 1 bumper right near the striker, but the rear doors have 2 each. You would think that the fronts would have 2 or more....
Any other things I can try? I know one guy wrapped electrical tape around the striker and that helped... but it doesnt seem like a permanent fix as it would need to be replaced frequently as the latch cuts through it.
