How do I fix my gas cap??/ I was getting gas this morning and my gas cap wont close all the way....I had a problem with it not staying open when I was pumping gas about 2 weeks ago till now. When I say not staying open, I mean, the gas cap wouldnt lock open, I had to hold it back to pump gas. If I didnt it would just spring forward. NOW it want close....like the spring is gone or something??? What needs to be done to fix this....can I buy just a new spring or do I have to buy the whole assembly??? How much does it cost and how do you change it???? When I say gas cap I mean the door to the gas cap, sry....

same thing with mine. dealership said the housing inside had broke $40 for the part and $40 for labor..never got mine fixed though..I just use sticky puddy stuff
