I just bought an 05 screw at a great price, the catch was that it needs some work. One thing to do is to get the rear tailgate replaced, which has some rust on it. Does anyone know where to find know if I"m wrong though):

Yea them prices are about right. I bought my truck used a couple of years ago, it had a big dent on top of the tailgate. I priced some new, and I was looking at well over $600 for a new one. E-bay was the cheapest I could find. After being outbidded several time on the ones I wanted, I finally lucked up and got one for $350 shipped. The only thing wrong with it was the "F-150"emblem had a small dent on it. I planning on taking the emblem off my other tailgate and replacing it on my new one.
Another option is maybe a junk yard, but i'm sure they would want what you could get it off E-bay for.
