Kind of a rather rudimentary problem but I thought I wouls ask nonetheless.

I had a crack in my windshield across the bottom and then the wiper on the drivers side eventually started missing a swath on the lower portion above the crack. I thought it was due to the crack.

I replaced the windshield and it still occurred so I just replaced the wiper blades....it is still happening.

I tried bending the arm a bit but that hasn't worked.

Does the spring on the arm need replacing?

Any other way of fixing?

This is my 2001 ski beater so I need good visibility.
