header panel

aloha guys im new to this site (from hawaii) and was doing a little research on my 97 f150 lariat.
if wanted to get myself some harley style headlights but came to a problem.my truck is built before 7-96 and was told that the header panel is diffrent.and that the headlights i wanted wouldnt fit.so i was told i can just change my header panel.is it just bolt on? would i need to change anything else if i bought the new style header panel(such as the molding around the grill and headlights)?? also how hard is it to do??
and i just bought a grille for my f150 and its on the old header panel.if i bought the new header panel will the grill still fit on it?
i would really really appreciate your input!!!
thanks guys

I did it

I also have an early 97 ,and it did need the header to be changed in order to use the Harley/ Lightning headlights I bought. You only need to get the header panel and dont forget the four headlight retaining strips. Your existing retaining strips can not be used. It is a no brainer to do this and requires nothing else to do.
Luckally I had the header off an Expedition

Its real easy to do, but you need to take your time. I to have the earlier 97 Lariat. The retaining slide bars that hold the head lights, you will need. Plus there is 2 location holes that you need to get too. They are white , the corner lamps push into them & this is what keeps them in place. 2 per side .
I think thats all you need. Besides the head & corner lamps. I hope this helps you out.
