Question Grill question???????

Have a question about my current grill. I have the "H" type bar grill on my 2004 truck. Its got the chrome outer trim on it. What I'm wanting to do is replace that trim with a regular white one. Since the my truck is white, I would prefer a white one. I found a grill on E-bay for about $30 bucks. The problem is thats its a honey comb type grill. Just wondering, if i buy it, can I take the honey comb part out of it, and replace with my current H-bar??? I know the grill itself will mount the same way. Don't really know about the different types though? Just thought it would be a cheap way to change the grill, instead of having to buy a brand new one. I've done plenty of searches...but no answers. Any help or know how would be greatly apperciated!!! Thanks guys!

I'm sure you can since they have to take the shell off of the honeycomb/H-bar part to paint them. If you look at the inside of your grill you should see how to remove the H-bar section.

Ok thats great! Thanks for the help guys! Unfortunatly, the grill I wanted was gone the next day. Do you guys know any other place to get what I looking for? I guess there is always the junk yard route.

I have 3 grills right now. The one on my truck and two honeycombs. One of the honey combs insert is broke and the other one has not gotten here yet. if you don't mind doing a little sanding and painting I will let you have the surround piece of of one of the honeycombs since I want to keep my color matched one. As long as you pay the shipping on it, it will be yours. I will even ship it to you without the insert so you will have less to do to it. LOL

Thanks for the offer, but I'll probably wait on that project. I just got new wheels and tires that I haven't put on yet. Plus, I'm fixin to upgrade my brakes. Too much money and time being worried about!

If I do decide to go ahead and do that, I'll give you a hollar.
