Door problems

didnt get any replies the other time i posted this so ill try here...

so i was sittin in the truck waiting on my gf like i usually and i have been waiting about 5 minutes and i start hearing a dinging like the door is open but i know for a fact i shut it. so i look at the dash and it says door ajar so i open and shut the door and then it still doesnt go away so i try openin and shutting the backdoor and then try it again and its still dinging any ideas to what it is thats causing it to not recognize the door being shut?

Thanks im going to try that when i get home i was gettin kinda worried i would have to do some extra work when i go in to replace the lock relay thing

me too. It happened a couple days after I got it and I was kinda angry.. thought I was going to have to do huge repair.. Did a google search on it and found f150 online.. so im here now. it worked great. Mine was the passenger door. Just soak the sucker

i just soaked em a few hours ago then left and went to ride came back and they seem to work like normal now.
