Just saw an oddity recently: '04 F150 with an extra bracket laying on top of the frame near the spare tire, wedged between the box and the frame. It finally fell loose after 50,000km and broke a wire going to the FPDM. The bracket was the type going from the frame to the trailer hitch/bumper as a brace, so not a small piece to miss.

I can't imagine there'd be too many like this around. This truck just had an extra bracket sitting on the frame. The box must have been dropped on afterwards at the factory and it was wedged until recently. There were no fastener marks on this bracket, it had never been bolted to anything.
