you have to take a thin flat screwdriver.. and angle teh mirror so that you see the backside from one of the sides. it has four small clips in a circular pattern, just take the flat screwdriver and pry one at a time, adjusting the mirror so that you can access it as you go along. Really easy to do and takes about two seconds.

you are talking about the actual small ring around the mirror correct? ...im not really following u. The gap seems to be waaaay to small for even a small flat head screwdriver to get in. It almost looks like i may be able to just scrap away the broken glass and then just set the new glass in without removing the molding. ANYONE EVER DO THIS? ...please let me know!!

no not the mirror housing, im talking about BEHIND the actual glass...
and its been done, fairly easily. i recently did it to a spare set of mirrors i had and to the custom expy mirrors i put on.

if you angle the mirror enough to see behind it, there is a small black plastic circle on the back of the mirror glass, around this circle are four small clips which will need a screwdriver to pry loose.

Ill see if i can get a pic up for you after i eat dinner
