2004 F150 FX4 - Driver Door Hard to Shut
Is there way i can fix the driver door so it actually shuts without pulling on it with all my might? I am scared to spray it with a bunch of WD-40 or any other lubricant as wd-40 is known to freeze or get sluggish when weather hits -45 here in canada.
thanks

Well, I use Fluid Film on all my vehicles, and I also live in Canada. I spray every moving part on my ATV with this stuff and it holds up beautifully, and I do alot of water/mud/snow riding with my bike.. This stuff is far superior to any other lubricant IMO...
It is possible that the door needs a little
adjustment. Look on the frame for the door
lock striker post. Get a star drive from the
NAPA dealer and mark the post with a magic
marker do you kinow where it was before
adjustment.
Loosten the post (it will be tight) so you
can move it out about 1/32 to 1/16 inch.
The door will not require a lot of pressure
to close.
