A wreck happened to me in november last year... I'm just now getting payment for the damages and am ready to replace parts.

My main concern is the tailgate. The hinges on the bottom are busted, I suppose mainly the left side. My question is: if the little circle piece (that looks like it was attached to the actual tailgate) is broken off. Without welding or something, does this mean a new tailgate needs to be gotten?

I'm sorry I don't have pictures, but from my understanding, this circular cup piece is supposed to slide onto the body, then the right side of the tailgate slips over the other side. My cup is broken from the accident and I'm sure i've lost it by now. Is a new tailgate the way to go?

If anyone needs more clarification before they can help, I can try to get pictures up soon, It's just hard to take off the tailgate and take pictures by myself, because I don't want to remove the whole thing for a pic while I'm at work.
