Taking F150 Emblems off

How are these put on? Im talking about the emblem on the sides of the truck, towards the front. I dont want to take them off and there be a huge hole in my truck.

I believe there are three holes.
Two make it level and uniform on each truck.
There is a third hole bottom center to prevent the factory from putting it on upside down.

I took mine off and replaced with custom ones. Heat the metal around the emblem with heat gun. This will soften the clue on the truck side of the double sided tape that holds on the emblem. Pull on it once heated up and use adhesive remover for any tape that remains.
