cracked winshield

i don't really know when it happened but i noticed it this morning, it is still very small maybe about 1" to 1-1/2" is in the bottom of the drivers side, and a few small chips (not cracked through). i know there are those glass repair guys that come to your house and fix it right there, but was wondering if there is any other do it your self fix available.

I would check with your insurance. Usually if they can fix it rather than replace it, there is no deductible.

They have those fix-it kits at the auto parts, but I would not recommend it at all. I tried it and it just made the crack spread out more
