Removing Plastic Bed Caps???

Looks like they just snap into place, but I pryed with my fingers but it wouldn;t pop. Scared to stick a pry bar under it but may have too....

I just noticed that there is a chip in the paint right at the edge in the rear passenger side next to the tailgate and it appears to go underneath the cap.... I will still have to remove the cap to sand and blend it regardless. I wouldn't worry about it except it's a deep chip that apparently went through the primer to metal because it's got some surface rust. Cancer is a major battle with this truck anyway, it's ate up with it, I'm trying to nip all I can in the bud.
