Door Rust

My 02 F150 has surface rust creaping out on the bottom of the door where the outside skin is folded over the inside, the truck only has 48,000m.

What can I do to help stop this? The weep holes are clean

Hi.

Check this out: https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...ight=door+rust

There is also a TSB that details the repair procedure to use - it's quite involved as it requires the seam to be pried apart for treatment. Ask the Stealership?

Good luck.

Ya, I have this, driver side badly, passenger side not noticeable and tailgate a bit. Basically clean in out good, apply seam sealer, prime, paint and as a preventative, I've always had a good seeping undercoat shot in the doors and tailgate. It keeps the rusting at bay. Around here, you can get dripless oil spray or drip, drip makes a mess on the driveway for a few weeks but seems to seep better. The mess usually goes away after a winter or so.
