Overhead Console Questions

I have a 97 supercab that I want to put a overhead console into. I've searched and I've found some conflicting information, and I have some questions. It would be great to hear from someone that has already done one of these. I have gotten a console from ebay that has the display for the temp sensor on it.

1. Will it even fit?
2. If it does fit, will I need new visors?
3. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the sensor part. I know I need power, ground, dimmer, temp sensor, and speedo wires, but I don't know which wires they are.
4. will I need a new headliner? I don't think I will, but I'm just checking.
5. The potential for messing up my truck is big on this project. For the people that have already done this, would you have done it again?

If you can only answer some of the questions please do. I'm hoping to start this tomorrow when I have the time.

Ok, I think I've answered all my questions except one. I've pulled my headliner and I've found out that there is nothing in between the metal of the roof and the headliner. What would you recommend to attach it to the roof? I was thinking either tar glue or lots of double stick tape.

The roof is double-walled, so you can use SHORT screws. On Broncos, Ford punches square holes for plastic inserts to accept the screws. On most others, the console is clamped onto the headliner with 1 screw at the front holding it to the roof metal.
