Grill for 2003 Screw

Hit a seagull @ about 50 MPH today and it went right through the stock honey comb grill making a big hole. Now Does anyone have any suggestion on a new grill since this is obviously a sign from above to get a nice one? Also I have seen many bolt over inserts but I think that would look bad up close since there is a hole and I do not want to buy an entire front grille where I have to paint. I am not really a chrome guy, I like the black grille look over anything else and havne't found anything anywhere yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Black grills

Most grills come in textured black or beige (almost any body part).

if you can find a stock 01-04 Lightning grill, they look great, its black bars kinda looks like the current FX2 grill. Can you take a pic of the grill that got destroyed? I seriously may want it if its not too big of a hole. I got a little project im working on and am looking for a stock grill.

Heres a stock 01-04 lightning grill i am talking about

Thanks,
-Patrick

you may want to trade in the bug guard for a bird guard.

First of all, to answer your question, the lightning grille is the only one I like other than the honeycomb (which is my favorite). If I were you I'd just get another one of those...

Now, I'm really sorry to change the subject but I was wondering if you could tell me something. I saw two things on your truck that I would love to have. Where did you get the clear headlights? How much did they cost? And the nav/cd player screen thing in your dashboard? That's sweet how much was that and where did you find it?

Thanks. Nice truck by the way.

Damn, oh well, I guess I will have to find a new honey comb grill or an FX2 grill. To answer your question about the headlights I got them off of ebay but it was so long ago I do not remember the seller. But here is a link to the same lights except the clear corners, you may ask that seller if he has them though, I do remember that they were SVT/Lightning style headlights with projectors, they even came with an extra set of blue for the projector lense, they look nice too. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/97-03...QQcmdZViewItem

As for the in-dash Nav unit it is a Pioneer Avic-Z1 and good luck finding one that is actually in stock. It is being replaced in another month by the Avic-Z2, basicaly just a software upgrade. It cost about $1,600 + Sirius, Bluetooth, rear view camera and iPod. There is need for some modification as that the Ford is not a true double din, but very little is needed. I have the scoop if you need it, here are some helpful links and a forum I am a member of. http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pn...632461,00.html
