I've seen some nice customs with shaved tail gates. Shave the handle and install a set of electric servos to open the tailgate. Should look really sharp on a lowered truck.--DIY

My personal opinion, and do not take this as an attack, is that you should start by working on the general appearance and condition of the truck. From the pictures in your gallery, it looks as though the truck needs some TLC. Obviously there are holes in the bed, you could use some new rims and tires, a paint job, some interior work, the list can go on. I think you should get these types of things fixed first before you start trying to make all these "custom" mods. If you don't address these, I think the money you spend trying to make it "custom" will be rendered useless cause the general appearance of the truck has not been dealt with. It will start looking like a riced-up hoopty.

ya. most of the "problem" areas are easy fixes. im having the fender fixed next weekend and possibly getting a new bumber at the same time. i have a guy that can fix the holes. thats why i havent really adressed those issues yet. they are stuff that i really dont have to pay for, so they arent my priority. But I see your point.
