Anyone else have an issue with the plastic cowl on an '04 or later? My 2 cowl pieces keep coming apart in the middle of the hood? The dealership just got done replacing the drivers side piece. On my way to work today I started hearing a lot of noise and then I noticed a nice 1" gap between the two pieces. Back to the dealership I guess.

 

yea, aint that a b!t(# , you hafta figure a way to get them closer together, because the tabs are not long enough on the bottom side to hold them down and together

 

My dealer just replaced them for the same problem and they are doing it again!

 

Just had both replaced by dealer yesterday. They said they replaced both because in only one is replaced the cowls will seperate again. I'll see how long this repair lasts. Hope if if does not if will separate while still in warrenty.

 

Hi.

Two quick fixes - a small SS screw at the front (near weatherstrip), or a tiny bead of black RTV along the seam. Both work great, no dealer trip req'd & no chance for the dealer to fix one thing but eff up another.

Dealer trips are best reserved for the really big things you can't (or don't want to) fix yourself, IMHO.

I stop by, but only for the free coffee and to gawk at the receptionist & new vehicles.
