Start with thw 2 bolts/screws on the very bottom of the door panel. You have to kneel over to see them.

then use a flat head and pop the black plastic that is behind the interior pull handle. That should expose to bolts. Get those out, and there is a third in there I believe.

You also need to use a flathead and gently pop the cover that goes around all the power windows buttons etc and get that stuff unclipped or at least slip it out.

I think that's it... should be 3 bolts and 2 screws. Then you just pull the whole panel straight up, and off. If it won't budge, you missed something.

I personally have to use a flathead and gently pop off the speaker cover and un-do my speakers to remove my panel, but I think it is just because of my custom mount plate that attaches through the panel itself. Maybe check there if it doesn't budge after everything else.

Good luck

mirror

Hey Babba - The same thing happened to my mirror, I'm looking to get one online. How much was yours and where did you get it?

I Need Drivers side for a 2005 Lariat supercrew with indicators built in if anyone is there that has one.

lundmar thanks for your help, I was able to get my smashed mirror off and like you said used the flat head to get the controll panel off. Unfortunatly i was not able to get the panel back on as easily. Its on there now hanging by a couple of clips. Its soo much harder to get the panel back on. Do you or any body have any tips for geting the panel back on?? its at the point to where I just want to go to the dealership and have them put the panel back on.

My driverside mirror was 179 from the dealership brand new in the box. its a little steep your best bet is problably ebay.

No problem. The key is to go in the exact reverse of what you did the first time. I have a feeling the problem is you didn't come STRAIGHT down when you put it back on. Other than that, once you get it slipped back on, you should just be snapping and screwing everything back on.

Oh, make sure the door lock pin is UNLOCKED and up so you can align it in the hole as you drop it on more easily.
