Hi all. I have a '01 F-150 Supercrew with the short bed on it and when I bought it, it came with one of those fiberglass tonneau covers. Looks really sharp on it but it's in the way of me hauling my motorcycle around so I'm selling it. I had a potential buyer ask me:

"I'm interested in your cover.....We have a 2001 step side ford with a short bed will it fit? Thanks John"

Do any of you guys know? I'd be surprised if the length of the two beds aren't the same, but what about the width? Does the stepside make the bed a little more narrow at the top? Thanks in advance for input!

 

Nope, screws have 5.5' beds

Extended cabs/reg cabs have either 6.5' or 8' beds.

if he has a step side bed, its on an extended cab/reg cab.
edit and yes widths are different from style to step sides

You can find the body dimensions on this Ford site. Just change the year in the URL to the one you want (it only goes back to '97) and poke around.
