Cheap Black Paint - White Primer
As soon as I got my '02 F150, I found out if the door clicks once, you don't do what you did the last fifty years and use your knee to bump it on shut! It now has a small dimple.
TWO QUESTIONS: Why is the paint so shabby that the least little thing scratches it? Why does my black truck have a white primer ??
It's bad enough that if I sneeze on the thing, there's a new view of the primer. But to be looking at white seems absurd. I had my Wilson 1000 professionally installed with the coax coming out of the brake lens to the magnetic mount. After Katrina, I went under a low hanging limb and as flexible as the antenna is, the mount moved. ...first time in four years, or however long it was. Now there are white stripes on top.
It seems every time I wash it I find a new white speck or two. Do they not use the same hardening agents? Is this another burden we bear because of environmental concerns? Aaaak! And why white primer?
