Question Water leak

I have a small annyoing water leak. The leak is soming from the driver side door area where the door meets the weather strip. There is nothing torn or missing. It usually leaks as small amount when I'm driving. It runs in through the weather stripping and down onto the pillar handle. Has anyone else had this problem?

Rusty

What year model Rusty? I know the 01-03 SuperCrews had a similar problem... the thing though was that the leak was coming from somewhere else and, to my recollection, was only appearing around the handles on the A-pillar...

It's definitely out there and documented if this is the case... try a few searches.

I have a 03 FX4 I really don't know what to call it. I have 2 regular doors and to fold out doors. When it leaks it appears around the drivers side a pillar handle and no where else that I'm a where of. Thanks for the reply. Where was your leak?

I am trying to find a solution for the same problem. I've tried searching, but nothing yet. I've noticed that it only happens when driving down a incline. While climbing, the water does not enter. I would guess that this points to the rain gutters on top of the truck leaking inward. If anyone can shed some light on this let me know.
Thanks

I have had the drip from the drivers side grab handle for quite a while. Recently I've developed it on the pass side, so now I'll have to dive in and figure it out. All this at the same time the wifes car develops a leak.... geez... when it rains, it .... you know.

I don't care much for the way the channels on top drain into the windshield frame, but I don't think that's the cause. I'm wondering if it's the windshield seal..... I just can't tell by looking and think I'll have to use the garden hose to troubleshoot it.

I have the same problem, both sides but more on the driver side. Mine happens when parked and i usually find a puddle on the rubber floor mats. Lots of condensation on the windows. I think it is the window seal as the water is running down the pillar. Also if I slide some paper between where the dash meets the window, it comes out wet.

My 2002 scab is having the same issues on the driver's side pillar with water coming out of the handle and dripping down to the floor mats. I think I'll have to take it somewhere to get the windshield taken out and re-sealed. This is very frustrating!!

do you have the sunroof option ? my does it too, i pulled everything from the windshield and found that the w/s is sealed no problem, i think its a sunroof issue, check your drain plugs and inspect your sunroof open for any dirt, leaves ,etc. and if you had your windshield replace BEWARE!!!!!! i am in the glass replacement business and there are hacks out there, if its your w/s seal replace and reseal the w/s always put oe glass place in .oe glass for ford is carlite glass and every wholesalers in america can get for your local quality glass replacement shop, p.s stay away from the national chains, there policy is to the installer is the more your install ,the more you make $$$$$

Leaking water in 06 SCREW

I had a leak on the passenger side grab handle. It would literally pour out of the upper bolt cover on the handle itself. My first trip to the dealer got me a vague reply as to the issue, even when I asked why they used a contractor to supposedly fix the problem (Ford has a service procedure on this).
Three days later we had another rainy day and it leaked again. This time I asked some specific questions.
They have a problem with the drain tubes on the sunroofs not draining fast enough so the water backs up and as water will do, finds it's way to the lowest point,(something about Newton's laws of gravity)regardless of how you feel about it. That low point is inside your truck.
The dealer followed some service bulletin and had their in house techs grind down the rails (possibly water flow dampers) and then had a contractor remove the drain tubes. Your truck is ready, again.
Well, it wasn't. It leaked again. This time they re-connected the drain tube so it would flow faster????. Haven't had any significant rain since then, just snow so I don't know if this is fixed or not.
